Daniel Barros
Ethical Beekeeper & Bee Educator
I’m Dan, a beekeeper deeply committed to working with bees in harmony, not control. Since 2018, I’ve been practicing ethical beekeeping in Aruba—prioritizing the health of the hive above all else, and letting the bees set the pace for every decision I make.
My approach is rooted in observation, patience, and respect for the natural rhythm of the island. I study how bees interact with Aruba’s unique flora, how they adapt to changing conditions, and how their wellbeing reflects the health of the wider ecosystem.
Beyond caring for hives, I share this knowledge through guided Bee Experiences, workshops, and community education—helping others understand the vital role bees play in pollination, biodiversity, and food security.
The bees have been my teachers, showing me that balance in nature is achieved through cooperation, not exploitation. My goal is to pass on that understanding, so more people see the world from the bees’ perspective.
If you want insight into ethical beekeeping, pollinator health, or building a deeper connection between people and nature, I’d be glad to share what the bees have taught me.
